Farrow and Ball certainly nailed it some years ago with their colour change, but today I was looking at another company’s colour chart.
Yes, the Dulux Heritage colour chart itself, is a work of art, and the Dulux Heritage colour range is a worthy alternative to Farrow and Ball’s.
They have such evocative names too, for their colours – Swedish White, Copenhagen Blue, Veranda Green, Fresh Flour, Fitzrovia Read.
Across the bottom of the Heritage chart is an excellent choice of whites. Grecian White is one I’ve used with great success, but Wiltshire White is the one I’m looking forward to using as my wife has chosen this for our kitchen. I can let you know how that goes next time I write.
The Dulux chart is divided up horizontally into Pale Tones, Mid Tones, Deep Tones, and Whites at the bottom.
Vertically, the columns of colours are laid out with colours that will work together, i.e., the upper and lower parts of a wall being different colours from the same column will work together.
The chart is worth a good study and designed to make your decision making a pleasure.
