“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”
Pablo Picasso
Now I’m not saying our painting and decoration is art ( though lesser things have made such claims) but we can rid you of some everyday dust and brighten your space that you might see the art around you. Then who knows what creativity you may come up with. And though it may not make good sense to disrupt your living space with painters just remember what else Pablo said
“The chief enemy of creativity is good sense”
Now I had only just finished and posted my monthly blog this morning when lo and behold Theresa May calls a snappy general election for next week. Or almost next week.
Yes it’s inconvenient and I’ve had to cancel half my plans for June 8th (I had an MOT booked and two library books due back) so as to turn up and vote.
Moreover with a month to go before my next blog due, I have no choice but to write another blog right now to bring things up to date.
Because although this is not a political blog, what citizen who has an interest in UK politics doesn’t also care how his home looks and therefore in anticipation of having the same audience as Radio 4 (though not the same numbers of course) I am bringing you up to date on paint and painting.
Yes just when I thought we’d get a break from Brexit news it’s firmly back on the agenda.
Well here in the UK we are certainly keeping the rest of the world entertained with our politics-as if our comedy and football weren’t enough entertainment for them already.
What I think about this election is that we should all go out and vote- ALL OF US- and surprise everyone.
That way all the candidates get more votes and feel more popular. That’s a good thing because I’m not a cynic and think politicians mainly enter politics because they want to do some good. So a little more validation from the electorate is alright.
Anyway it’s high time I talked about painting your house. So if your in Fulham, Putney, Pimlico,
Pinner, Wandsworth, Wimbledon, Richmond, Sheen, Kew, Chiswick or somewhere else in London or the south west of London please get in touch and I’ll drop by personally and give you some sound advice and a competitive quotation.
See you soon
Joe
